Motorist injures woman on roadway

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when she hit by a car on a road in West Yorkshire.

Police said the 36-year-old woman was in the road when she was struck by a Mazda Demio travelling on the Armley gyratory in Leeds on Monday night.

The woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

Road traffic officers with West Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to contact them.
