Man in court over city stabbings

A man is due to appear in court in connection with a major disturbance in Leeds in which four men were stabbed.

The men, from Nottingham, were involved in an incident outside the Puro club in Call Lane in the early hours of 5 May.

One of the victims, the most seriously injured, remains in hospital where his condition is said to be improving.

A 20-year-old man arrested on Friday will appear before magistrates in Leeds later charged with wounding. Police are still appealing for witnesses.
