Woman found with serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 71-year-old woman was found unconscious with serious head injuries in Leeds.

The woman is believed to have left Harehills Working Men's Club and was then found outside Compton Cards on Compton Road.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said she was being treated in hospital.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who can help establish how the woman came to suffer her injuries on 14 November.
